Our doctors take the team approach to your eye care

Of course, you are the most important person in our team approach to eye care. Follow your doctor’s recommendations, and have regular preventative eye examinations. Your optimum eye health is our team’s goal.

The doctors at the Midwest Family Eye Center provide primary eye care services. All of our doctors of optometry are board certified in treatment and management of eye diseases. This means our doctors treat most eye conditions, most of the time. Whether it is glaucoma, an eye infection, a foreign object lodged in the eye, ocular allergies or simply a preventative eye exam, you can trust your eye treatment to the doctors at Midwest Family Eye Center.

Dr. Jackie McCall

Dr. Jackie McCall grew up in the small farming community of Max, North Dakota. She went to under-graduate school in Bismarck, North Dakota at the University of Mary. From there she attended Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, California, and received her Optometric Degree in 1986. She moved to the Brainerd Lakes area in January of 1987 and worked as an independent contractor until December of 1999. She then decided to go into private practice and opened Midwest Family Eye Center in Baxter and in October 2001, opened a satellite office in Staples.

Optometry is a great profession said Dr. McCall. “It is wonderful working so closely with people on a daily basis. I feel it is a very personally rewarding career, because we are dealing with the perfection and preservation of vision for a lifetime of sight. I would also like to personally thank my patients for their continued confidence in Midwest Family Eye Center and I extend our welcome to any new patients.”

Dr. Anna Malikowski

Dr. Anna Malikowski was born in Alexandria, Minnesota, and raised in Algonquin, Illinois. She attended the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, and went on to continue her education at the College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois. In 2003 Dr. Malikowski received her doctorate degree in optometry and in the fall of 2004 Dr. Malikowski joined Midwest Family Eye Center where she continues to treat patients at both the Baxter and Staples locations.
